Little Smarty’s (a registered company under the corporations act 2001 and is limited by shares).
(Little Smarty’s) has adopted this Privacy Policy to ensure that it handles private information about persons responsibly.
It is important to Little Smarty’s that persons dealing with it are confident that Little Smarty’s respects their personal information. Although not required by law to do so, Little Smarty’s is guided by the National Privacy Principles (NPPs) contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Privacy Act).

Personal information
Little Smarty’s collects personal information from a range of sources. These include people who request information about the company, retail customers, wholesale customers, suppliers and visitors to our website. This information would normally consist of a person's name, address and other contact details. It may also consist of information relating to credit card details and purchases made by its customers or partners.
Little Smarty’s also collects and holds information about its employees, contractors and applicants for work. This information includes information (including health information) that is reasonably related to that person's employment with, or work for, Little Smarty’s.

Why we collect this information
Little Smarty’s collects personal information for a number of reasons. Personal information about retail or wholesale customers is collected to process sales and to manage wholesale accounts. Personal information about applicants for information is used to provide the information and services requested by you and keep you up to date with the work of Little Smarty’s.
Information about, employees and workers is collected to enable Little Smarty’s to regulate its relationships with them and to fulfil its obligations as an employer or contractor.
In relation to suppliers of goods and services, Little Smarty’s collects information to assist with the proper administration of Little Smarty’s activities.
Source of information
Little Smarty’s usually collects personal information directly from the relevant individual, or from a person acting on that person's behalf. This information may be collected from written correspondence as well as from communications by electronic and oral means.
In some cases, such as in relation to the employees of a contractor engaged by Little Smarty’s, the information of the employee may be collected from the employer (the contractor).
When visiting the website guests are not required to provide any personal information. However, sometimes Little Smarty’s needs to collect information from the website to provide services requested. For example, if requesting information, Little Smarty’s will need to collect name and contact details. If making a purchase, Little Smarty’s will need to collect credit card details for processing purposes. This information will be processed through paypal.
Management of personal information
Little Smarty’s takes reasonable steps to ensure that all personal information held by it is kept secure and protected from unauthorised access and interference.
Disclosure of information
In certain limited circumstances, Little Smarty’s may disclose personal information to other organisations. Little Smarty’s would usually take reasonable steps to ensure that the parties to whom the personal information is disclosed adhere to the same standard of privacy protection under the privacy legislation as Little Smarty’s.
Other organisations to which Little Smarty’s may disclose information include service providers, (including mail out houses), government and regulatory authorities or other organisations as required or authorised by law.
Access to personal information
Little Smarty’s takes reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information it collects and holds are complete, accurate and up to date. Any person in relation to whom Little Smarty’s has collected personal information can apply to access that information by contacting Little Smarty’s management. If the information held by Little Smarty’s is inaccurate, incomplete or not up to date, a person can request that Little Smarty’s corrects that information.
There are some circumstances in which Little Smarty’s may deny a person access to, or the ability to correct, their personal information. These include circumstances in which the law requires or authorises such access to be denied under NPP 6, or where the privacy of other persons would be unreasonably affected. Little Smarty’s Privacy Officer will advise if any of these circumstances apply.
Resolution of privacy concerns
If a person in relation to whom Little Smarty’s has collected personal information is concerned about a possible interference with their privacy, or if a person requires any further information about Little Smarty’s privacy practices, the person should contact Little Smarty’s management. If concerns are not resolved to the satisfaction of the person, the matter can be referred to the Federal Privacy Commissioner on 1300 363 992 (privacy hotline).
